My client are well reputed, leading authority in it's industry with 60 years market experience. With their HQ based in Liverpool and working across Europe my client  are looking for a Database Administrator to join their team and work under the guidance of their new SQL Developer. With significant plans for growth in 2017, you will be joining a team of highly skilled developers to help build out their current platform, and drive the technological advancements of the business.

The Role

You will report directly to the Database and BI Services Manager and have excellent organisation skills and have record of Database Administration. You will be an effective communicator and posses the necessary investigative skills to deliver projects and resolve issues through to successful implementation. You will also have responsibility to maintain and troubleshoot back up strategies, optimisations as well as HA and DR solutions for the supporting DB infrastructure.

Key Requirements & Responsibility

• Essential experience across to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 as well as PostgreSQL 8.

• At least 3 years DBA experience (MSSQL Server and PostgreSQL)

• SQL Server skills including backups, job management, security, maintenance plans, monitor activity and performance optimisation

• PostgreSQL Skills include backups, restores, replication and tuning

• Flexible approach with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to implement production database tasks outside core hours

• Excellent troubleshooting and fault finding skills​
