My client are a leading edge Online Gaming business  working with and enhancing  the software solutions with significant growth plans for 2018. With extensive industry experience they're expanding across the continent as well as penetrating further in the UK gaming space.industry. They're now building out their development team and require a Java Developer to work on several key projects.

The Role

A talented Java Developer is required to join the Software Development team and help build out their software solutions across the business. Your role will involve working closely with both the Director of Development and CEO in the ongoing design and development of a major bespoke web-based application to facilitate sales and order processing. This project, combined with additional side projects, will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop significant experience with several modern languages and frameworks.

Key Requirements:

Web Application Design and Implementation

2+ years’  experience using Java 1.5 or higher

Self-motivated attitude towards new challenges and technologies

Desirable skills/qualities

Relevant employment experience of the following technologies:

• Java 1.5+ (current development uses Java 8)

• Wicket 6

• Spring 4.1

• JPA 2.1 (Hibernate preferred but not essential)

• MySQL 5.5+

• Maven 3

• Tomcat 7

• Junit/Other Unit Testing

• JIRA 5+

• Jenkins/Hudson

• Subversion 1.6+/Tortoise

• Experience in other Apache Technologies (e.g. Velocity) .NET C#

• HTML/CSS/JavaScript/JQuery

• Agile Programming

Benefits

Salary: £30 000 - £35 000 per annum
